Kid’s Concert and Music Fundamentals Class

This event is a partnership between the International Baroque Consort and St. Chad's Church, in Romiley, Stockport, that will be focused on the kids aged 0 and up. The event, overall, will consist of a music class that will be filled with exciting and developmental activities that both the kids and their partents can take part in, making it a great family afternoon with the IBC. The class will be led by IBC ensemble members Marina Sanchez Cabello and Timothy Dzida (both trained and experienced music educators), and the class is focused on not only making sure the kids have fun, but doing it in a way that helps them develop vital skills in music, as well as their overall development. The class will also give the parents something to take home with them and utilise at home, ideas on songs and activities do do together as a family whenever they want. After the class The IBC will clear the area for the class, and will set up for the concert. The kids will sit in front to get the best view in the house of the music we produce and the instruments we use. The concert will last a total of about 50 minutes, filled with information about the music we are playing, the composers who wrote it, and the instruments we use. After the concert, the kids and partents will have an opportunity to come up to us and look at our instruments and possibly even touch them or as any other questions about them they they so desire.
